Garrett's Class Party

This school year, I have the opportunity to be the room mom for Garrett's first grade class. His teacher, Mrs. del Valle, is a wonderful lady who has such a heart for her children. I just love the way she is with the kids.
As Garrett's room mom, I get the chance to plan 2 parties in the year. The first one was yesterday. It took so much time and energy to plan but it was over in 45 minutes! It was so worth it though.
We did a few different activities in stations. One station was decorating gingerbread men. The others were tic-tac-toe, holiday tattoos, making reindeer food and finally snacks! They had a blast. Here are some pictures....

Garrett making his gingerbread man! =) This was all the kids favorite part!

Garrett making reindeer food with his classmate.

Mrs. del Valle was in charge of tattoos. The kiddos LOVED it!

A few of Garrett's classmates at the gingerbread man table. Told you they loved it! =)

As always, a shot of me and my little man... I love you, Garrett!!

Ethan's Christmas Program

Yesterday I got the chance to attend Ethan's Christmas program at his preschool, New Creations. For the first time I had the chance to see my middle child perform on stage, without his older brother, and he was great. I was so proud of him doing all the motions and participating. He was so cute. Here are some pictures....

Reed and I waiting for the program to start... Reed had gum in his mouth! =)

Ethan coming in. He was so excited!! He played Joseph, as you will see.

His class singing their song..

I was so proud of him. He did a great job. And the teachers are AMAZING with the kids!

"How Many Kings" by Downhere

It isn't very often that a song touches me enough to add the song to my playlist and add the lyrics so everyone can see them. I have to tell you that this song touched me beyond belief at church today. Please select this song from my playlist and read the lyrics below as you listen to the song. THIS, my friends and family, is the REAL reason for Christmas. Thank you, Heavenly Father, for sending your Son for me!!!

How Many Kings
Follow the star to a place unexpected
Would you believe after all we've projected
A child in a manger
Lowly and small, the weakest of all
Unlikeliness here, wrapped in his mothers shawl
Just a child
Is this who we've waited for?

Cause how many kings, stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homesw?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many Gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?

Bringing our gifts for the newborn savior
All that we have whether costly or meek
Because we believe
Gold for his honor and frankincense for his pleasure
And myrrh for the cross he'll suffer
Do you believe, is this who we've waited for?
It's who we've waited for

How many kings stepped down from their thrones?
How many lords have abandoned their homes?
How many greats have become the least for me?
How many gods have poured out their hearts
To romance a world that has torn all apart?
How many fathers gave up their sons for me?
Only one did that for me

All for you
All for me

Garrett's 7th Birthday Weekend...

...was a success! We had a wonderful time! Friday night the boys spent the night with Nana Marsha and Papa Tink while J and I went to his work Christmas party. It was fun! I got to meet all J's co-workers and their wives. They all were very nice people. Here is a picture of J and I before we left to go to the City Club in Downtown Ft. Worth.

Saturday morning J and I left early to meet up with the boys and Nana Marsha and Papa Tink to spend an entire day celebrating our oldest baby. He is just the sweetest little thing. He definitely new that the day was all about him... Here are some pictures from our exciting day celebrating Garrett's 7 years! =)

Santa just happened to be at IHOP during breakfast. Garrett didn't want to go anywhere but IHOP for breakfast!

Yummy!!! Sundae, birthday dessert is ok even at 9am, right?

Momma and Reed!

Ethan ALWAYS has to have some of the dessert!

Opening presents from Mommy and Daddy! Garrett got a DSi for his birthday! He was happy!

And he got a Giants shirt and big top cupcake (he saw it on an infomercial and had to have it!) from Nana Marsha and Papa Tink....

And the biggest surprise of all.... A new R/C car from Papa Tink...

Telling Papa Tink "thank you"!

He didn't want a cake.. He wanted brownies instead! I love his originality. I hope he never loses it!

Reed showing off a car that Garrett got for his birthday that now is his! ha ha He loves his cars!!!

Garrett got so many other cool things we just didn't get pictures of all of it! =( He got a new Fitzgerald jersey from Nana and Papa (in AZ) and the new Mario Bros. game for his DSi. He got a bunch of $$ from Gee Gee (great grandma), Papa T and Nana Sally, Uncle Mike and great Grandma Mitzi. He also got some coloring books and a new JetFire Transformer from Uncle Skip, Aunt Cathy and Steven. He had a great birthday to say the least!

Tonight we surprised the boys with their ornaments. Every year we buy a nice ornament for each of the boys so when they leave home they have a collection started from us. Dr. Seuss "Ice" at the Gaylord Texan

OK! Now I am caught up! This past weekend we went to the Gaylord Texan to experience "Ice", a 9 degree display of ice figures. The theme this year was Dr. Seuss "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas". We all had a great time as you will see from the pictures. Enjoy!!! =)
